What data is collected
Anything you enter into the calculators – weights, reps, bodyweight – is never sent to a server. All calculation happens in your browser. Entered values disappear when you close the page unless you deliberately save them with the Your numbers feature, in which case they stay in your own browser. Those do not leave your browser either.
Settings stored in your browser
The site stores two preferences in your browser's local storage: your chosen language and your unit (kg or lb). They exist only to remember your choices on your next visit.
If you use the Your numbers feature on the 1RM calculator, the same local storage also holds the max estimates you save, with their dates, plus your bodyweight and sex if you have entered them in the strength standards. This is what lets the figures fill in across the other calculators and lets you see progress over time.
The same local storage also holds the gym settings you choose in the plate calculator – bar weight, collars, available plates and rounding step – and the sets you tick off in the 5/3/1 table. The gym settings are what the other calculators round their loads to. The ticked sets apply to the current day only and clear themselves the next day.
None of it is sent to a server, linked to you, or used for tracking. It exists only in the browser and on the device where you saved it, and does not sync between devices. You can delete an individual lift with the Remove button in Your numbers, or all of it at once by clearing site data in your browser.
Advertising and consent
This site displays Google AdSense advertising. Advertising vendors may use cookies to select and measure ads.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent dialog is shown before any ads load, where you can accept or reject advertising cookies and review individual purposes and vendors. The dialog is provided by Google's certified consent management platform, which follows the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework.
You can change your choice at any time via the Cookie settings link in the footer. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and it does not restrict the calculators – they work without advertising cookies.
You can also opt out of personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings, or block third-party cookies in your browser settings.
Visitor statistics
Visitor numbers are measured with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies, uses no client-side storage and builds no identifiers for individual users. For that reason it requires no consent.
Server logs
The service delivering this site processes technical data such as IP address, browser type and the requested address. This is necessary to deliver the site and maintain its security.
Third parties
Google AdSense (advertising and consent management) and Cloudflare (site delivery and visitor statistics). Each has its own privacy policy.
Your rights
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation you have the right to access the data held about you, to request its correction or deletion, and to object to its processing. Requests can be sent to the email address above.
